Creo Illustrate

Creo Illustrate

PTC Creo Illustrate connects leading technical illustrations with 3D CAD data from any CAD system to allow for fast, easy-to-create and quick to update productions. Using modern architecture it creates 2D images, animations and sequences – all in the same time.

Using Creo Illustrate many outputs can be created in one session. When importing different 3D CAD Data Creo Illustrate allows the user to filter, assemble and redesign structures from CAD to better fit the use case of spare part or service tasks (sometimes called the SBOM). By it´s intelligent design, the user is still only working on one Creo Illustrate file that outputs different kinds of information, all linked to the original 3D design. With a change in 3D CAD, Creo Illustrate updates all downstream illustrations fast and accurately.

Key Features

  • Easy to use, no need to understand 3D CAD or similar.
  • Suited for aftermarket service engineers, illustrators, Marketing.
  • Manage 3D CAD data in a lightweight format enables large designs to be handled on normal desktop computers.
  • Linked to all major CAD packages like Creo, Solidworks, Inventor, NX, Catia. Also handles standard interfaces like JT, IGES and STEP
  • Linked to Windchill PDMLink for automated integration of updates
  • Animations, 3D images, 2D Lineart drawings
  • Instruction sequences (these also generates automatic animations)
  • Extensive library of parts and illustrations
  • EBOM-SBOM management
  • Automatic balloon setting from CAD objects or external list
  • Export to many image and video formats.
Servigistics Arbortext IsoDraw

Servigistics Arbortext IsoDraw

World class technical illustrations and still linked to 3D Design. With Arbortext IsoDraw many organizations are combining the agility of a modern 3D CAD integration and world class 2D illustration in one tool.

PTC Arbortext IsoDraw is the world’s leading solution for generating 2D illustrations from 3D designs. But not just that, Arbortext IsoDraw also adds a 2D illustration capability where the user can illustrate in a 3D perspective (Isometric) and marry the 3D CAD data with 2D illustrations in one image. Something which is needed if:

  • Product Design comes in a mix of 2D and 3D data
  • Items are missing or simply not in the design to save time (bolts, nuts)
  • Hands, tools, balloons or other 2D objects are necessary to enhance the image
  • Threads, nut design, cables or other images needs to be enhanced for better understanding.

Arbortext IsoDraw was the first tool on the market for technical illustrations and is used by thousands of companies and service providers worldwide. It also supports S1000D standard for CGM format which has rendered a large customer base in the world of aerospace and defence.

Key Features

  • Easy to use, suited for Marketing, technical illustrators
  • 3D CAD integration to most CAD systems with update function
  • Integrates with standard formats like JT, IGES, STEP
  • Manage 3D structure and objects
  • Hotspot images automatically
  • Export to any 2D format like EPS, SVG, CGM, DXF and many more
  • Trace function to recreate data from an image
  • Manage spare part images and balloons.
  • 2D illustration from scratch in flat or perspective view
  • Extensive library of more than 3500 parts, hands, tools and similar.

Amazing rendering and animations… In minutes!

KeyShot is an entirely CPU based standalone 3D rendering and animation system for 3D data. It has been designed to take the complexity out of rendering realistic images. KeyShot is used by designers, engineers and CG professionals worldwide to quickly and easily create realistic images and animations of their 3D models.

Rather than playing with many parameters and waiting for the result, KeyShot allows you see results at the same time you make changes. Using all of your computers processor power, KeyShot delivers stunning images of your 3D data. The more processors you have, the faster KeyShot gets! And no matter whether you are on a PC or Mac, you never need a special graphics card, nor any dedicated drivers. It just works.

KeyShot doesn’t require any specialized expertise. KeyShot has 6 main buttons rather than hundreds of parameters, options, sliders, and adjustments found in traditional rendering programs. It is the perfect tool for anyone who is or wants to get involved with 3D data: industrial designers, mechanical engineers, marketing professionals, photographers, CG experts – you name it. The only limit is your creativity.

KeyShot features the only rendering engine that is certified by the CIE (International Commission on Illumination). Using scientifically accurate materials and real world lighting, KeyShot delivers the most accurate images in a matter of seconds. And when you combine a 3D scene with a photograph, you can create even more amazing results that you may have never thought of before.

KeyShot supports many 3D CAD software packages natively. When importing your 3D data, KeyShot maintains the file structure from the original model to speed up rendering and animation. In addition, KeyShot can also be accessed directly from CREO, Pro/ENGINEER, Rhinoceros, SolidWorks and SketchUp with a plugin.

KeyShot + CAD

The plugin for Creo integrates nicely with the ribbon UI to give access to KeyShot with the click of a button. You have the ability to import your entire assembly, an individual part or a simplified representation of you assembly. The entire structure of your model is maintained, hidden parts and layers stay hidden and all colors are maintained, at the part level or assembly level, you decide. Best of all, your saved views can be transferred with the geometry if you like. The plugin is the fastest way to get your Creo geometry into KeyShot for the most realistic images you’ve ever created
